How to Order & Pricing Guide
Mikawa Industry Inc. handles everything from design and reverse engineering to prototyping and production with Carbon DLS. Here is how it works from inquiry to quotation, manufacturing and delivery, with guides to pricing and lead times.
How it works
1. Inquiry and hearing
Use our inquiry form to contact us. We’ll ask about your goals, quantity, desired delivery date and operating environment. If needed, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving your data.
2. Provide data or the physical part
Please provide 3D data, drawings or the physical part. Even for parts without drawings or 3D data, send us the part and we’ll digitize it by 3D scanning (reverse engineering). We accept shipments from anywhere in Japan.
3. Design proposal and quotation
Based on your application and requirements, we propose materials, structures (lattice structures, topology optimization, etc.) and manufacturing methods, and submit a quotation. Design reviews can also be held online.[TBC: typical days to quotation]
4. Prototyping and evaluation
We manufacture prototypes with Carbon DLS and refine the design based on evaluation results until it meets the required performance.
5. Production and delivery
Move to production with the same data and the same material as the prototype. With no molds required, design changes are easy to accommodate.
Information we need for a quotation
- 3D data (STEP recommended), drawings or the physical part[TBC: list of accepted data formats]
- Quantity (prototypes, planned production volume)
- Desired delivery date
- Operating environment (temperature, load, chemicals, outdoor use, etc.)
- Required performance and standards (flame retardancy, biocompatibility, etc.)
- Color and surface finish requirements
You don’t need to have everything ready — just tell us what you know.
